Jelastic Cloud Foundry

Virtuozzo Application Platform (formerly Jelastic) is a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that automates deployment and scaling of containerized applications. Ruslan Synytsky founded Jelastic in 2011 — the name combined "Java" and "elastic" — to offer a hosting environment that automatically scales resources based on actual consumption. Virtuozzo acquired Jelastic in October 2021 and rebranded the product.

The platform supports Java, PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby, .NET, and Go runtimes, along with databases, load balancers, and Docker containers. Its defining feature is vertical auto-scaling: containers grow and shrink their CPU and memory allocation in real time based on load, and billing follows a pay-per-use model measured in cloudlets (a unit of 128 MB RAM and 400 MHz CPU). The platform is available through multiple hosting providers worldwide and can be deployed on public or private infrastructure.
